Can't get enough of Snap. Excellent machine. I have all the competitor's 4k machines, and build as well, and I feel people are missing the boat comparing Snap to anything. Its profile, purpose, features and reliability are truly one of a kind.
Seth C.Apr. 25, 2019
My team and I were quite thrilled when we received the Snap Drone, and we were all impressed. I would like to get 2 more of the Snap Drones!
Patricia H.Mar. 27, 2019
Just finished flying the Snap, was very pleased with the quality and steadiness of the video despite winds gusting up 15 mph. With the DSM controller I believe it is a suitable solution for some of our clients operations over people use cases. It really is a very nicely designed machine!
Tariq R.Mar. 25, 2019
Thank you for your quick responses and all your help, Vantage has always set a high standard for customer service.
Ben B.Jan. 11, 2019
I love my Snap drone and have been flying it periodically. Still need time to practice and perfect but great product!
Vinny Y.Jan. 8, 2019
We flew the drone for the first time on 12/25 and it was awesome! One of us is an aerospace engineer and another is a mechanical engineer who worked for many years in the aeronautics field. We were amazed by how easy it was fly the drone, in large part due to the intuitive design of the user interface. The drone was responsive and maneuverable, yet very stable. The video/photo quality was second to none: very clear, stable and non-jittery. It handled wind rather well too. Bravo, super great work, folks.
Shing M.Jan. 4, 2019
Imagine my surprise when a box from Vantage showed up today!! I was like “man these guys are quick, I just sent the email and here's the battery is...from across the country too!” Thanks for awesome customer service.
Brett S.Dec. 30, 2018
I'm loving it. Long awaited but I'm having a blast with it!
Chris C.Dec. 26, 2018
I did a comparison between Snap and DJI Mavic Pro. I filmed my daughter playing soccer at the park. Really enjoyed the Snap drone and thought it did a better job than the Mavic in nearly every way. Not to mention, I was never worried about accidentally running in to her!
Matt B.Dec. 20, 2018
If there is anything I can do for you all, let me know! I am spreading the word. I have over 39 drones, DJI Phantom 4, Mavic, Mavic Pro, Simtoo Dragonfly just to name a few. The Snap is my favorite!
Robert S.Dec. 7, 2018
Do you have stickers for my car? I want to promote snap! Everywhere I fly people are amazed. The best drone I've ever had and I have several. Thanks!
Robert W.Dec. 6, 2018
I had my maiden flight the other week, very happy with the Snap quality and ease of use. I had some great still shots!

Some fun with a new drone called Snap by @vantagerobotics I waited over 2 years to get mine but let me just say it's incredible!
Blaine M.Nov. 26, 2018
I’ve studied Psychology, played around a bit with HTML/CSS, and even raced BMWs around a track and skid pad :), but flying Snap, is unlike anything I’ve ever done!! Peaceful, worry-free, and a kick-ass experience!! I can see how flying can become addicting!!
Dinah G.Oct. 29, 2018
Oh Wow...this is so cool. Thanks so much for doing this. You guys are awesome. I wish you guys the best of business luck.
Rick C.Oct. 5, 2018
Excellent design and coming from the world of remote control airplanes it was one of the reasons I waited for the SNAP. I am really enjoying the SNAP!

I work for a company that strives for exceptional customer service. But the customer service I received from you is far better than the ‘exceptional’ customer service we give. Thank you again. I appreciate everything you did for me!!
Dinah G.Sept. 25, 2018
Hi, I did an update a few days ago that placed another icon on the top lhs of my iPhone, not sure what were calling it yet, maybe 3d tracking, but I would like to say it's the best thing I have ever used. As I am still learning, I had in some videos using manual mode to follow, eg:- say a moving car down the road but using different angles and techniques and it has been rather tricky... Yes I am also using POI which also gives me a lot of flexibility, but this new feature solves all those problems so easily. How brilliant 🙂 good work guys ! Overall I am still very happy with the Snap
Michael L.Sept. 18, 2018
Thanks to snap support, I now have a new battery and the promised spare! And they sent it over the weekend. Thank you guys!
Anselm H.Sept. 9, 2018
I am excited to give specific credits to the whole Vantage Robotics team and Snap in the film. Looking at finishing it by Summer 2020. Since this is a film whose scope reaches across all of North America, I think it will be seen by a lot of people---likely PBS but time will tell. Glad to promote Vantage. The level of service you and the team has offered has made all the difference. Keep up the good work.
Steve H.Sept. 4, 2018
I wanted to let you know that my SNAP arrived on Saturday. The packaging was terrific and the design of the SNAP components is amazing. The pieces can be put together in a few seconds and SNAP is ready to fly! My two pilots are 14 and 9 and they had little trouble getting it the air and mastering the controls via an iPhone. Video projects are in the works, but school has gotten in the way this week. So, we are off to a great start and I wanted to commend you and your team on both the design and functionality of SNAP. If I am lucky, the young pilots may teach me how to fly SNAP and to take full advantage of its functionality! Best regards, Tom

Just a quick email to say thank you for delivering my Snap and it was an amazing feeling to receive it after a two and a half year wait. Initial feedback below … Packaging – impressive minimalistic/Apple-like and looks great. Initial assembly to first flight – simple and easy-to-follow instructions. iOS app – very well designed and all settings and features are within reach. Flight – still in beginner mode but I love it and feel safe flying it around my two year old son. Video – great picture quality @ 1080p with a quick run through FCP (https://vimeo.com/280471079) Overall, as mentioned, a great product and I wish to congratulate the team for all the difficult and dedicated work they have done to bring Snap to market.

The video quality is awesome. I can't believe how smooth the videos are. Excellent job creating a flying camera that takes inspiring videos. I can't wait to take snap out on some more adventures... Thanks for everything. You guys have a great product.
Pete R.Apr. 17, 2018
I bumped a tree branch 10 meters off the ground. At that point snap did exactly what it should have - came apart and dropped to the ground (grass). After wiping the dirt off I put it back together, inspected for damage (no damage) and it took right off again with no problem. Two thumbs up!!
Chris C.Mar. 29, 2018
I received my snap last week and it's really amazing!!

I generally am an early adopter of technology, especially when it is related to photography. By no means am I a professional, but I am a serious hobbyist photographer who shoots everything from cell-phone to medium format digital cameras. I was definitely intrigued enough when I stumbled across the Snap drone 2 years ago that I went ahead and pre-ordered. At the time, the specs for Snap seemed way ahead of other drones. As time progressed, obviously other drones have caught up with the Snap specs, so I was beginning to get a little worried about how competitive the drone would be in comparison to some of the new DJI drones. I already had a DJI Phantom 2 and purchased a DJI Mavic since the Snap pre-oder. My Snap Drone finally arrived last week and I was quite excited by the form factor. Though not as compact as the Mavic, it seemed smaller and lighter when separated. Despite thoroughly testing out all my gadgets, I usually only do this for myself and never really send any feedback (except for a handful of beta tests I have done over the last few years). However, I thought I would share my first flight experience with Snap. This past Sunday, I was finally able to squeeze in a few minutes to fly the drone at a local park; my daughter offered to be my subject. I took both the Snap and Mavic and tried to capture some similar footage. I have to say, I much preferred the Snap drone over the Mavic when using the Bluetooth game controller. I really was not expecting the experience to be that much different than the Mavic, but the enclosed props and therefore the ability to get closer to the subject without worrying about injury was tremendous. The app was also much less cluttered than the DJI app and much easier to navigate. I was so comfortable flying Snap that I even let my 9 year old fly the snap drone in the park (with Dad's supervision of course). She said it was just like playing a video game. I definitely would not let her fly the mavic even in a wide open space without people; those open blades do trouble me when flying it around other people...Anyway, the real test was looking at the video. I was very impressed by the video quality from Snap; everyone I showed the video to agreed with me that straight out of the camera, the Snap video quality was as good or better than the Mavic. I plan on doing a more controlled testing of the drones, but I can honestly say that I am very satisfied with the Snap despite the wait. ... Congratulations on a great product.
Matt B.Mar. 26, 2018
As an FYI, I just flew my SNAP on a very windy day here in Chicago (cliche, I know). Its crazy how the SNAP can manage itself in the wind - its pretty amazing.
Chris L.Mar. 23, 2018
So far, very pleased, it is easy to assemble and get in to the air. The app is relatively intuitive once you've read the manual.
Lindsay Y.Mar. 15, 2018
Snap has been an awesome drone, thank you very much for this masterpiece... ...Once again thank you Snap is awesome.
Tilson T.Mar. 16, 2018
Hi, Snap came and works well, thank you for sorting it so quickly. I am really pleased with my experience so far. You guys do seem to have delivered on your promise and it really is better late than never.

After almost three years of waiting, I received my SNAP Drone Camera Platform on Friday afternoon (Thank You, James Squires and Team at Vantage!), and took it out for its first Test Flight this afternoon. I can truly tell you that “The Wait Was Worth It!” With the Vantage Flight Software on my iPhone, it flew perfectly right out of the box. The video feed was excellent to the iPhone Screen, though I made a small error in not realizing the 16GB Video Card was not fully inserted into the designated slot, so the Video itself did not record. Battery lasted about 20 Minutes, then the drone dutifully returned to a perfect landing right on the spot where it lifted off. The platform responded smoothly to every command input during the test flight, and I am extremely pleased by the quality and workmanship of the finished SNAP product. Excellent, rugged design, and a very quiet platform while in flight. It will be nice – and necessary – when Vantage has an inventory of spare batteries for sale, as you will likely want to pick up 3-4 and have them charged-up for extending flight operations. All that said – To paraphrase what Will Smith said in the original Independence Day movie: “You gotta get yourself one of THESE!” Nice job, Team Vantage! Keep em Flying! And Flying Out The Door!

Looking forward to your updates! All of them, as I'm sure they'll all be great. You guys have done an amazing job in creating Snap!
Sam J.Mar. 7, 2018
I received my snap last week and I have made good flights and good videos with the device. It’s fantastic!
Arne J.Mar. 6, 2018
I'm liking my Snap! It's very user friendly. After just a few flights I felt confident enough to use it out over the water boating this weekend!
Sam J.Mar. 5, 2018
My snap arrived on Monday! The weather gave me a quick break to try it out and it was brilliant, I only flew it for a few minutes as it was windy and I have too many trees in my back garden. I was amazed at how stable it was and how easy to play with.
Marcus H.Mar. 1, 2018
I played with Snap & wow it was incredible I really enjoyed it. Thank you. Snap is amazing.
Tilson T.Feb. 27, 2018
I need a drone that does exactly what Snap does - design features that you don’t see anywhere else. Do you know of a drone that does the automatic orbit, virtual wire, and lasso modes, enclosed blades, controlled only with an app? No one else has that feature set
Eric R.Jan 4, 2018
Congratulations! That's a huge advancement not to mention [ad]vantage! 🤣😁
@thesavageleeDec 22, 2017
I am very happy with my Snap (I also have a DJI Spark) & I use either my iPhone 8s or my iPad Mini 4 to fly with. I’ve only had one slight bump & it broke apart as designed but it did scare me seeing it do this but thankfully all was well. It really is very quick & simple & more importantly safe to deploy, I now keep mine in my vehicle in a LowPro sling bag so I can take advantage of any opportunities that arrive.
Dale M.Nov 27, 2017
I find flying the Snap to be a lot easier than any drone I have flown.
Scott H.Nov 26, 2017
Received my Snap yesterday and tested it today in beginner mode so far. Great. No issues. I’m happy to finally move forward in my experience using the snap. Looking forward to sending great videos for your site. Thank you.
Andrew M.Nov. 8, 2017
I wanted to let you know that I also have a Spark. The Spark flies great and take good pictures and videos but is to much of a pain to set up and use. I really like how easy the Snap is to use. It was rather windy, 10 to 15 mph wind, with gusts quite a bit higher than that. I took it up around 30 feet, and flew around the [wind] mill a bit. The gusts were really twisting the Snap back and forth but for the most part it stayed put. The video was pretty stable, I never thought the gimbal would keep the video watchable but it did.
Scott H.Nov. 2, 2017
Flight School and the app are really nice and easy to use. The user interface is amazing….
Paul K.Oct. 21, 2017
https://youtu.be/8NEkmXNkca0 I love this video! It was simple to film. I was concerned about the windy conditions so I didn't fly it too high. I thought the colors turned out great. I could even see the ripples in the swimming pool. Thanks for making a simple to use, safe product that allows the general public to capture moments like this.
Giac V.Oct. 15, 2017
Yes, I received it yesterday. I have been charging the battery and hope to take it's first flight later today if the wind isn't too bad. I am very happy that I was patient and waited. It looks amazing. I will send you videos once I get them.
Scott B.Oct. 13, 2017
I had a fun time showing one of the other parents out there how it flies; he was impressed at how simple and well it performed in the windy conditions we had at practice. BTW - this is NOT a test I would have done without prop guards like Snap has. It would've been way to0 close for comfort for my dog.
Giac V.Oct. 10, 2017
Hello - just received Snap and took it out for a test flight - awesome work people
Sean O.Sept 29, 2017
Just a quick little video today at a height of 150 ft over my village, weather wasn’t good so the colors aren’t great but this is not the fault of Snap & it is ridiculously easy to fly & is very smooth. I might be putting my Spark up for sale shortly as the Snap keeps impressing me the more time I can spend with it!
Gizmo2001Sept. 26, 2017 Check out my video!
I tested it at South Point, which is always windy...Winds were gusty and at least 15mph, maybe more. The Snap had no problem flying into the wind, but the air was so turbulent I didn't want to risk going out very far.
Mark D.Sept. 25, 2017
I've had my first couple of short flights today & I have left feedback on FB & also on your blog & I hope you are happy with it. Trust me I am seriously blown away with it!!!!! This will help me have a purpose going forward & I'm looking forward to the tracking rotor set & the range extender to have even more fun & adventures. Cheers Buddy it's very much appreciated.
Dale M.Sept. 18, 2017
Hi Folks, Below is a copy of one of my recent posts on FB Vantage Robotics Snap discussion group, also you will find there a few unboxing photos from mine in the UK. I’m simply blown away by the Snap & I am very pleased I hung in there for the ride & I can’t wait to get my hands on another battery in the next 4-6 weeks (fingers crossed) to explore more of the different modes available, I am sticking with manual for now because it is SO easy to fly. Trust me you won’t be disappointed!!!. I will post some videos here in the upcoming days & any questions please feel free to ask. I’ve just had a couple of quick flights to test my Snap before the battery got to low & I am very impressed about how easy it is to fly!! The responses are very direct & I quickly realized to slow my movements of my iPhone for smoother flights, once I get my cable for my charger tomorrow (I need a UK plug, not an issue--Amazon Prime to the rescue) I will update my firmware & get some more flying in. Doug Cochran I’ll send you a message & a link tomorrow buddy. Feeling VERY HAPPY 😊
Gizmo2001Sept. 18, 2017
It was magical - no need to tell me to go slow - I charged the battery, completed the flight school - did 2 short flights (it was getting dark, I had to wait until after work) - my first flight of any drone and I think it went really well. ...
Martin F.Sept. 18, 2017
I just received my SNAP and while I haven't flown it, the sleek look and robust feel makes the long wait worth it! Great job and thank you for executing the plan since 2 years ago!
Shaun Y.Sept. 10, 2017
Test flight this morning was successful. No issues with magnetometer. Successfully flew out and back, and manual. Thanks! Scott PS – You guys are an amazing company, and I just want you to know that.
Scott K.Sept. 8, 2017
It works! I tried it in an open field away from other strong wifi signals and got good connection with my Google Pixel. Flight control was very intuitive with tilt control - confidence inspiring for beginners. Even my 9 yr old could control it. It never felt out of control or at risk of cutting fingertips!
Giac V.Aug. 28, 2017
Super pumped to buy some more batteries and chargers. Dude this thing is amazing. Y'all have the best flying camera out there
Paul C.Aug 22, 2017
I just returned from Alaska and found my Snap waiting. I finally had a chance today to try my first drone flight ever, and despite a fairly stiff wind (15 - 25 mph), it did great! I’ve posted my first video on Facebook… Thanks for all your wonderful work on this. I can’t wait to hone my skills and create some killer video and photos!!
Chris W.Aug 20, 2017
I also have a DJI Spark and after it went rogue while landing and almost hit my 2 yr old in the face I couldn't wait for my Snap. That has to be one of the best things about it. I'm still getting use to it ( I've only had it 2 days) but so far I'm loving it.
Joe K.Aug 6, 2017
No video, but an update. Last night, I went to the park and practiced manual flying. Some neighborhood kids were playing keep away with Kal-El (my dog). I worked on trying to capture their action. I wish I had played more video games. I think that would have given me better skills. Nonetheless, I captured some great stuff. The Snap definitely responds well. The battery lasts 20 minutes as advertised. There was another family that showed up with their drone. They kept crashing and asked if I could help them. I couldn't. Their drone was a piece of crap. I asked them if they had read the instructions. They hadn't.
Dan F.Aug 1, 2017
I must admit that having a personal drone like that for capturing happy family moments is really friggen cool. Nice one!
Jon S.July 30, 2017
Got my Snap last week- super cool! Here’s a short clip from my back yard shot this weekend: https://vimeo.com/226841482 The interface is super-intuitive- my 6 and 8 year olds both picked it up pretty much instantly! Looking forward to some action shots soon. . . .
Andrew W.July 24, 2017
One thing I like about the IQ is that there is never any issue with the blades interfering with the view, or filtering light. Sometimes when you fly aggressively with the Mavic, you'll get that pulsating light effect as the light filters through the props. It's also a different experience to just pluck it out of the air and twist it to shut off the motors. Because of the prop guards, it wasn't intimidating to do this. I can see this as a good park flier for photos--it's not too loud and doesn't freak people out. I don't have a Spark, but I am guessing the intent was the same, based on the limited Wi-Fi control range.
SamMateoJuly 19, 2017
Hi Everyone, and especially Marcus Hawksley: When I first learned of Snap, I signed up for a pre-order immediately. I’m a commercial director and amateur documentarian. I loved the idea of a drone that was portable, super easy to fly and above all, safe. We shoot a lot of commercials with famous people, and an open-bladed drone in these situations has always scared the absolute shit out of me. Imagine doing a TV commercial and crashing a drone into a professional baseball player who makes $17 million a year? You literally cannot buy enough production insurance to cover this kind of liability. So that was the professional angle that got me to plunk down my almost $1000 pre-order. But I have to confess, the personal use was way more of an enticement. Having a drone I could quite literally throw in a back pack and take anywhere (we travel a lot) and fly it around people (even my children) with a feeling of ease and safety? Sign me up. After a bunch of delays, I thought of asking for my money back. I went to Iceland, and Snap wasn’t ready. Botswana on safari; Snap wasn’t ready. Spring training shooting for a professional baseball team; and Snap wasn’t ready. I’d emailed Tobin each time to get the reluctant “Snap wasn’t ready” message from him. I thought about asking for my money back and then I got an email from Tobin asking if I wanted to be a beta tester. Hell, yes, I said. Soon enough I had a very early version and was shown how to use it. I have been a beta tester for many of our client products (by the way, Vantage IS NOT a client. I paid full price). But being a beta tester for a photo sharing app, or a piece of hardware that let’s you watch your home tv from your phone, or almost anything else is no where near as intense as being a beta tester for a drone. Over the past (six) months of beta testing, I’ve been blown away by how freaking difficult it is to build a drone from scratch. The variables are INSANE. Each time I flew, I’d send the guys a note. Sometimes major things like: Snap took off just fine, but lost connection at after fifteen minutes and crashed into a tree (early days). And sometimes minor things like: when you accelerate forward fast, Snap dips a bit, and you have to add throttle, which also inadvertently adds yaw, which messes with the footage. I had a million things; mostly nit-picky little bullshit things. But at every turn, I’d send a text or an email, and these guys would have a solid response. Almost always, they’d already found the flaw themselves and told me of the fix they were working on. Very few times did I point out something new to them. I was so impressed by how they were all over these problems (and continue to be). And they have been incredibly responsive. They know I’m kinda digging this role of test pilot, I think, and they’re thankful for the info. They come to my office and switch out hardware, perform hardware upgrades, and look at my drone’s logs literally all the time. I must have had six or seven hardware swaps as they fix thing; tons of firmware upgrades and dozens of software updates. Tobin emails and texts responses at all hours. And the team is super impressive. One guy, Pavlo, brought over a new fuselage, updated the firmware, gave me some tips and watched me fly it. When we were talking later, I asked him about his background. “Nasa”, he said shyly. “Nasa?” I asked. “What did you do there?” I prompted. He humbly mumbled something about working on “Interplanetary unmanned landing systems”. SO…I’m coming a long way to say this: these guys are smart and they have their heart in the right place. They are doing something unbelievably difficult, and probably underestimated how difficult the undertaking actually was. But after flying this drone, and seeing this team’s commitment and intelligence, I have high hopes. I can’t tell you how much fun it is to throw this thing into a backpack and just go fly–and have killer footage to look at after you land. Here’s a little unboxing video to show you how easy and quick it is to fly this thing. Apologies for the crappy footage–my daughter shot it on her iPhone. I’ve got a ton of really nice footage I’ve shot over the past months; now I just have to get my 16 year kid to edit it and post it for me! I know it’s been a long road…but I think it’s going to be worth it. DJ Just so you don’t think I work for Snap with all these positive things I have to say, here’s my company: http://www.hubsanfrancisco.com

Never before have I found myself invested in a product I have not purchased, owned, nor used. I have followed and read every product status update, missed deadlines, shipping delays, frustrated customer complaints, cancellations, and refunds. As a person that dislikes being sold on anything, preferring instead to let a product sell itself to me on how it meets my (potential) needs, I cannot quite figure out my unusual emotional attachment to the Snap drone. I’m guessing this has something to do with the VR team taking us with them on their journey, with a level of transparency that some might view as possibly suicidal for a startup business. This VR customer engagement approach is certainly unique and should be studied for lessons. My skepticism has tailed off now that they are actually shipping the product, and I plan to place an order soon. When I eventually click that button to purchase my drone, I know I wouldn’t just be purchasing a cool drone, but also the core values displayed by the VR team is more important, which is what has earned my trust in this VR team and a product yet to be experienced. Congrats for finally shipping. Tobin, big double congrats to you and your partner as well on your newborns.

Just flew it a little, this is the first drone I have ever flown and I was very impressed with how easy it was to control and how stable it is. It held its position great in a 10mph wind. Current air temperature is 107 degrees Fahrenheit so I didn’t want to stay out too long with it. I had no problem launching and landing by hand, it really was almost stupid easy.
